Marketplace FAQ
Connected Homeschool Marketplace is a simple space where homeschool families can share and discover classes, resources, and helpful tools.
❓ Is it free to create an account?
Yes. Creating a marketplace account is completely free.
There are no subscriptions required to browse, buy, or list items.
❓ Can I both buy and sell with one account?
Yes.
When you create a marketplace account, you can:
- purchase items
- create listings
- sell to other families
There’s no need for separate buyer or seller accounts.
❓ How does selling work?
To help keep the marketplace clear and trustworthy, all listings require approval.
Before your listing goes live, you’ll be asked to:
- submit a Listing Approval Form
- provide basic details about your product or class
- include a delivery method (and link if digital)
Once approved, you can create your listing and make it available to others.
❓ Is there a fee to sell?
There is no upfront cost to list items.
A 10% commission is applied only when something is sold.
This helps cover payment processing and platform costs.
❓ How are digital products delivered?
Digital products are delivered by the seller after purchase.
After a buyer completes a purchase:
- the seller will provide access via a link
- this link is shared through the Connected Homeschool marketplace chat
Examples:
- Google Drive link
- Dropbox link
- hosted download page
❓ How do I receive my digital purchase?
After purchasing a digital product:
- check your marketplace messages
- your seller will send your access link there
If you don’t receive access within a reasonable timeframe, you can follow up directly with the seller through chat.
❓ How do physical products and shipping work?
If a listing includes a physical product:
- the seller is responsible for shipping
- tracking information should be shared through the marketplace chat
Be sure to read the listing details for specifics regarding estimated ship time, etc.
❓ What happens after I purchase something?
After purchase:
- you’ll have access to a chat thread with the seller
- the seller will provide next steps (link, access, shipping info, etc.)
This chat is your main place for communication.
❓ What if there’s an issue with my order?
We encourage buyers and sellers to communicate directly through the marketplace chat first.
If something isn’t resolved, you can reach out and we’ll help where possible.
❓ What kinds of things can I list?
You can share:
- live classes
- recorded classes
- digital resources (PDFs, guides, etc.)
- physical homeschool materials (books, curriculum, tools)
All listings should be:
- accurate
- helpful
- shared in good faith
